سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ فِي رَجُلٍ تُوُفِّيَ وَ تَرَكَ مَالًا وَ لَهُ أُمٌّ مَمْلُوكَةٌ قَالَ تُشْتَرَى أُمُّهُ وَ تُعْتَقُ ثُمَّ يُدْفَعُ إِلَيْهَا بَقِيَّةُ الْمَالِ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Abu Najran, from Abdullah Bin Sinan who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying regarding a man who died and left wealth, and for him was a mother who was a slave. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘His mother should be bought and emancipated (with the son’s legacy) then the remainder of the wealth should be handed over to her’.
