أُتِيَ عَلِيٌّ ( عليه السلام ) بِامْرَأَةٍ مَعَ رَجُلٍ قَدْ فَجَرَ بِهَا فَقَالَتِ اسْتَكْرَهَنِي وَ اللَّهِ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَدَرَأَ عَنْهَا الْحَدَّ وَ لَوْ سُئِلَ هَؤُلَاءِ عَنْ ذَلِكَ لَقَالُوا لَا تُصَدَّقُ وَ قَدْ فَعَلَهُ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, and Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, altogether from Ibn Mahboub, from Abu Ayoub, from Abu Ubeyda, Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> has said: ‘They came with a woman to Ali<sup>asws</sup> along with a man who had been immoral with her. So she said, ‘He coerced (forced) me, By Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, O Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup>! So he<sup>asws</sup> staved off the Penalty (<span class="iTxt">Hadd</span>) from her, and had these (people) been asked about that, they would say, ‘Do not ratify’, and Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> had done it’.
