الرَّجُلِ يَقْذِفُ الرَّجُلَ فَيُجْلَدُ فَيَعُودُ عَلَيْهِ بِالْقَذْفِ قَالَ إِنْ قَالَ لَهُ إِنَّ الَّذِي قُلْتُ لَكَ حَقٌّ لَمْ يُجْلَدْ وَ إِنْ قَذَفَهُ بِالزِّنَى بَعْدَ مَا جُلِدَ فَعَلَيْهِ الْحَدُّ وَ إِنْ قَذَفَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُجْلَدَ بِعَشْرِ قَذَفَاتٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا حَدٌّ وَاحِدٌ .
Translation
Ibn Mahboub, from Abu Ayoub and Ibn Bakeyr, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> regarding the man who slanders the man, so he is whipped, and he repeats the slander against him. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If he says to him, ‘That which I said to you was true’, he would not be whipped; and if he were to slander with the adultery after having been whipped, so upon him would be the Penalty (<span class="iTxt">Hadd</span>); and if he slanders him before he is whipped, by ten slanders, there would not happen to be upon him, except for one Penalty (<span class="iTxt">Hadd</span>)’.
