الْقَطْعُ مِنْ وَسَطِ الْكَفِّ وَ لَا يُقْطَعُ الْإِبْهَامُ وَ إِذَا قُطِعَتِ الرِّجْلُ تُرِكَ الْعَقِبُ لَمْ يُقْطَعْ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from Abu baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The cutting (of the hand) is from the middle of the palm, and the thumb is not cut; and when the foot is cut, the heel is not cut’.
