قَالَ إِذَا أُخِذَ السَّارِقُ قُطِعَتْ يَدُهُ مِنْ وَسَطِ الْكَفِّ فَإِنْ عَادَ قُطِعَتْ رِجْلُهُ مِنْ وَسَطِ الْقَدَمِ فَإِنْ عَادَ اسْتُودِعَ السِّجْنَ فَإِنْ سَرَقَ فِي السِّجْنِ قُتِلَ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from usman Bin Isa, from Sama’at Bin Mahran who said, ‘When the thief is seized, cut his hand from the middle of the palm. So if he were to repeat, cut his left foot from the middle. So if he repeats, leave him in the prison. So if he steals in the prison, kill (him)’.
