قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) عَبْدِي إِذَا سَرَقَنِي لَمْ أَقْطَعْهُ وَ عَبْدِي إِذَا سَرَقَ غَيْرِي قَطَعْتُهُ وَ عَبْدُ الْإِمَارَةِ إِذَا سَرَقَ لَمْ أَقْطَعْهُ لِأَنَّهُ فَيْءٌ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Al Nowfaly, from Al Sakuny, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If my<sup>asws</sup> slave steals from me<sup>asws</sup>, I<sup>asws</sup> would not cut him, and if my<sup>asws</sup> slave steals from others, I<sup>asws</sup> would cut him, and a slave of the emirate, if he were to steal, I<sup>asws</sup> would not cut him because he is ‘<span class="iTxt">Fey</span>’ (war booty)’.
