ہمارے اصحاب کی ایک جماعت نے احمد بن ابی عبداللہ سے، انہوں نے عبدالرحمن بن ابی نجران اور محمد بن علی سے، انہوں نے ابو جمیلہ سے، انہوں نے جابر سے، انہوں نے ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: 'جو شخص کوئی گواہی چھپائے یا ایسی گواہی دے کہ جس سے کسی مسلمان کا خون ضائع ہو یا کسی مسلمان کا مال غصب ہو، وہ قیامت کے دن اس حال میں آئے گا کہ اس کے چہرے پر نظروں کی وسعت تک اندھیرا ہوگا اور اس کے چہرے پر خراشیں ہوں گی؛ تمام مخلوق اسے اس کے نام اور نسب سے پہچانے گی۔ اور جو شخص سچی گواہی دے تاکہ کسی مسلمان کا حق زندہ ہو، وہ قیامت کے دن اس حال میں آئے گا کہ اس کے چہرے پر نظروں کی وسعت تک نور ہوگا؛ تمام مخلوق اسے اس کے نام اور نسب سے پہچانے گی۔' پھر ابو جعفر علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'کیا تم نہیں دیکھتے کہ اللہ تبارک وتعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: "اور اللہ کے لیے گواہی قائم رکھو"؟' [65:2]

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from Abdul Rahman Bin Abu Najran, and Muhammad Bin Ali, from Abu Jameela, from Jabir, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far^asws having said: ‘Rasool-Allah^saww said: ‘The one who conceals a testimony, or testifies with it in order to waste by it the blood of a Muslim person, or to block the wealth of a Muslim person, would come on the Day of Judgement, and for his face would be darkness to the extent of the vision, and in his face would (signs of) toil (labour). The creatures would recognise him by his name and his lineage. And the one who testified with a true testimony, reviving by it a right of a Muslim person, would come on the Day of Judgement, and for his face would be light to the extent of the vision. The creatures would recognise him by his name and his lineage. Then Abu Ja’far^asws said: ‘Do you not see that Allah^azwj Blessed and High is Saying <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:65#h2"><a href="/books/quran:65#h2">[65:2]</a></a> and establish the testimony for the Sake of Allah</span>’.
