سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ شَهَادَةِ أَهْلِ الْمِلَّةِ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَا تَجُوزُ إِلَّا عَلَى أَهْلِ مِلَّتِهِمْ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدْ غَيْرَهُمْ جَازَتْ شَهَادَتُهُمْ عَلَى الْوَصِيَّةِ لِأَنَّهُ لَا يَصْلُحُ ذَهَابُ حَقِّ أَحَدٍ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Yunus, from Zurara, from Sama’at who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the testimony of the people of the (other) religions. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Not allowed, except against the people of their own religions. So if others cannot be found, their testimony would be allowed upon the bequest, because it is not correct for a right of anyone to go away’.
