سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ اذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ إِذا نَسِيتَ فَقَالَ إِذَا حَلَفْتَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ وَ نَسِيتَ أَنْ تَسْتَثْنِيَ فَاسْتَثْنِ إِذَا ذَكَرْتَ .
Translation
Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hassan, from Ali Bin Asbaat, from Al Husayn Bin Zurara who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> was asked about the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:18#h24"><a href="/books/quran:18#h24">[18:24]</a></a> and remember your Lord when you forget</span>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘When you swear an oath and forget to say the exclusion (إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ), so say the exclusion when you remember’.
