بَعَثَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) غُلَاماً لَهُ فِي حَاجَةٍ فَأَبْطَأَ فَخَرَجَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَلَى أَثَرِهِ لَمَّا أَبْطَأَ عَلَيْهِ فَوَجَدَهُ نَائِماً فَجَلَسَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ يُرَوِّحُهُ حَتَّى انْتَبَهَ فَلَمَّا انْتَبَهَ قَالَ لَهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَا فُلَانُ وَ اللَّهِ مَا ذَاكَ لَكَ تَنَامُ اللَّيْلَ وَ النَّهَارَ لَكَ اللَّيْلُ وَ لَنَا مِنْكَ النَّهَارُ.
Translation
<a id="_Toc492473153">H 14498</a> – From him, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al-Hajjaal, from Hafs Bin Abu A’isha who said: <span class="first-chapter-phrase"><span class="first-in-chapter character-a">‘A</span>bu Abdullah</span><sup>asws</sup> sent one of his<sup>asws</sup> servants on an errand. He was delayed. So Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> went out to see why he had been delayed. He<sup>asws</sup> found him sleeping. So he<sup>asws</sup> sat near to his head and caressed it (and waited) until he woke up. So when he was awake, Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said to him: ‘O so and so, by Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, that is not for you. The night is for you to sleep in and the day from you is for us<sup>asws</sup>’.
