إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ خَلَقَ الْأَرْضَ ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ الْمَالِحَ أَرْبَعِينَ صَبَاحاً وَ الْمَاءَ الْعَذْبَ أَرْبَعِينَ صَبَاحاً حَتَّى إِذَا الْتَقَتْ وَ اخْتَلَطَتْ أَخَذَ بِيَدِهِ قَبْضَةً فَعَرَكَهَا عَرْكاً شَدِيداً جَمِيعاً ثُمَّ فَرَّقَهَا فِرْقَتَيْنِ فَخَرَجَ مِنْ كُلِّ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْهُمَا عُنُقٌ مِثْلُ عُنُقِ الذَّرِّ فَأَخَذَ عُنُقٌ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَ عُنُقٌ إِلَى النَّارِ
Translation
<a id="_Toc492473161">H 14504</a> – Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Jameel Bin Darraaj, from Zarara has narrated the following: <span class="first-chapter-phrase"><span class="first-in-chapter character-o">O</span>ne of them</span><sup>asws</sup> (Fifth or Sixth Imam<sup>asws</sup>) having said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Created the earth, then Sent to it the salty water for forty mornings, and the sweet water for forty mornings until they met and got mixed. Then He<sup>azwj</sup> Took by His<sup>azwj</sup> Hand a handful and Stirred it intensely together, then Separated it into two separations. So from each one of these two came out particles like the particles of powder. So He<sup>azwj</sup> Took a (group of) particles to the Paradise, and a (group of) particles to the Fire’.
