اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَ جَعَلْتُمْ سِقايَةَ الْحاجِّ وَ عِمارَةَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرامِ كَمَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَ الْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ نَزَلَتْ فِي حَمْزَةَ وَ عَلِيٍّ وَ جَعْفَرٍ وَ الْعَبَّاسِ وَ شَيْبَةَ إِنَّهُمْ فَخَرُوا بِالسِّقَايَةِ وَ الْحِجَابَةِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ أَ جَعَلْتُمْ سِقايَةَ الْحاجِّ وَ عِمارَةَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرامِ كَمَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَ الْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَ كَانَ عَلِيٌّ وَ حَمْزَةُ وَ جَعْفَرٌ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَ الْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَ جَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَا يَسْتَوُونَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ.
Translation
<a id="_Toc492473370">H 14693</a> – Abu Ali Al-Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwaan Bin yahya, from Ibn Muskan, from Abu Baseer, who has said: <span class="first-chapter-phrase"><span class="first-in-chapter character-o">O</span>ne of them</span><sup>asws</sup> regarding the Statement of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic: <span class="ibTxt">“<a href="/#/books/quran:9#h19"><a href="/books/quran:9#h19">[9:19]</a></a> What! do you make (one who undertakes) the giving of drink to the pilgrims and the guarding of the Sacred Mosque like him who believes in Allah and the latter day”</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘This was Revealed regarding Hamza<sup>as</sup>, and Ali<sup>asws</sup>, and Ja’far<sup>as</sup>, and Al-Abbas<sup>as</sup>, and Shaeba. They prided themselves for quenching (the thirst) of the Pilgrims. So Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Majestic and Mighty Revealed <span class="ibTxt">“<a href="/#/books/quran:9#h19"><a href="/books/quran:9#h19">[9:19]</a></a> What! do you make (one who undertakes) the giving of drink to the pilgrims and the guarding of the Sacred Mosque like him who believes in Allah and the latter day”</span>, and it was Ali<sup>asws</sup>, and Hamza<sup>as</sup>, and Ja’far<sup>as</sup>, may greeting be upon them<sup>as</sup> are the ones who<sup>as</sup> believed in Allah<sup>azwj</sup> and the Last Day, and they<sup>as</sup> fought in the Way of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, and (others) are not equal to them<sup>as</sup> in the Presence of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’.
