John Shaqi

سَمِعَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْعِجْلِيَّةِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ قَوْلَهُ يُنَادِي مُنَادٍ أَلَا إِنَّ فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ وَ شِيعَتَهُ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ أَوَّلَ النَّهَارِ وَ يُنَادِي آخِرَ النَّهَارِ أَلَا إِنَّ عُثْمَانَ وَ شِيعَتَهُ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ قَالَ وَ يُنَادِي أَوَّلَ النَّهَارِ مُنَادَى آخِرِ النَّهَارِ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ فَمَا يُدْرِينَا أَيُّمَا الصَّادِقُ مِنَ الْكَاذِبَ فَقَالَ يُصَدِّقُهُ عَلَيْهَا مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُنَادِيَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقُولُ أَ فَمَنْ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْحَقِّ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُتَّبَعَ أَمَّنْ لا يَهِدِّي إِلَّا أَنْ يُهْدى الْآيَةَ.


Translation

<a id="_Toc492473378">H 14701</a> – From him, from Muhammad, from Ibn Fazzaal and Al-hajjaal, from Dawood Bin Farqad who said: <span class="first-chapter-phrase"><span class="first-in-chapter character-a">A</span> man from Ajaliyya</span> heard this Hadeeth – A caller will call out: ‘So and so son of so and so and his Shites are the successful ones’ at the beginning of the day, and another one will call out at the end of the day: ‘Usman and his Shites are the successful ones’. He<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘And the caller at the beginning of the day and (another) calling at the end of the day’. So the man said, ‘So what would make us understand which one is the truthful from the liar?’ So he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘The one who would believe in it before the call, would be ratifying it. Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Says: <span class="ibTxt">“<a href="/#/books/quran:10#h35"><a href="/books/quran:10#h35">[10:35]</a></a> Is He then Who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed, or he who himself does not go aright unless he is guided?” </span>The verse.
