سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ مَنْ قُتِلَ مَظْلُوماً فَقَدْ جَعَلْنا لِوَلِيِّهِ سُلْطاناً فَلا يُسْرِفْ فِي الْقَتْلِ قَالَ نَزَلَتْ فِي الْحُسَيْنِ (عليه السلام) لَوْ قُتِلَ أَهْلُ الْأَرْضِ بِهِ مَا كَانَ سَرَفاً.
Translation
<a id="_Toc492473493">H 14812</a> – From him, from Salih, from Al-Hajjaal, from one of his companions, who has reported: <span class="first-chapter-phrase"><span class="first-in-chapter character-i">I</span> asked Abu Abdullah</span><sup>asws</sup> about the Statement of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic: <span class="ibTxt">“<a href="/#/books/quran:17#h33"><a href="/books/quran:17#h33">[17:33]</a></a> and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying”</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It was Revealed regarding Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup>. Even if all the people of the earth were to be killed for it, it would not be excessive’.
