سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) يَقُولُ أَنْتُمْ وَ اللَّهِ نُورٌ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ وَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَهْلَ السَّمَاءِ لَيَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْكُمْ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ كَمَا تَنْظُرُونَ أَنْتُمْ إِلَى الْكَوْكَبِ الدُّرِّيِّ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَ إِنَّ بَعْضَهُمْ لَيَقُولُ لِبَعْضٍ يَا فُلَانُ عَجَباً لِفُلَانٍ كَيْفَ أَصَابَ هَذَا الْأَمْرَ وَ هُوَ قَوْلُ أَبِي (عليه السلام) وَ اللَّهِ مَا أَعْجَبُ مِمَّنْ هَلَكَ كَيْفَ هَلَكَ وَ لَكِنْ أَعْجَبُ مِمَّنْ نَجَا كَيْفَ نَجَا.
Translation
<a id="_Toc492473545">H 14863</a> – From him, from Ali Bin Hadeed, from Mansour Bin Rawh, from Al-Saaig who said: <span class="first-chapter-phrase"><span class="first-in-chapter character-i">‘I</span> heard Abu Abdullah</span><sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘By Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! You (Shites) are a light in the darkness of the earth. By Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! The inhabitants of the sky are looking at you all in the darkness of the earth, just like you are looking towards the brilliant star in the sky. And that some of them are saying to the others, ‘O so and so, it is astonishing how he came to acquire this Matter (Al-Wilayah)’, and these are the words of my<sup>asws</sup> father<sup>asws</sup>: ‘By Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! It is not astonishing to see the one who is destroyed, how he came to be destroyed, but it is astonishing to see the one who was saved, how he came to be saved’.
