John Shaqi

لَيْسَ الْحِمْيَةُ أَنْ تَدَعَ الشَّيْ‏ءَ أَصْلًا لَا تَأْكُلَهُ وَ لَكِنَّ الْحِمْيَةَ أَنْ تَأْكُلَ مِنَ الشَّيْ‏ءِ وَ تُخَفِّفَ.


Translation

<a id="_Toc492473572">H 14891</a> – A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Ali Bin Al-Hakam, from Musa Bin Bakr, who has narrated the following: <span class="first-chapter-phrase"><span class="first-in-chapter character-a">A</span>bu Al-Hassan Musa</span><sup>asws</sup> has said: ‘Dieting is not leaving something which you originally did not eat, but the dieting is to eat from the thing but at a reduced level’.
