مِنْ أَشَدِّ مَا فَرَضَ اللَّهُ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ كَثِيراً ثُمَّ قَالَ لَا أَعْنِي سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَ إِنْ كَانَ مِنْهُ وَ لَكِنْ ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ عِنْدَ مَا أَحَلَّ وَ حَرَّمَ فَإِنْ كَانَ طَاعَةً عَمِلَ بِهَا وَ إِنْ كَانَ مَعْصِيَةً تَرَكَهَا .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hisham Bin Salim, from Abu Ubeyda, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘From the most difficult of what Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Imposed upon His<sup>azwj</sup> creatures is the frequent Mention of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘I<sup>asws</sup> do not mean (saying of), ‘Glory be to Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, and the Praise is due to Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, and there is no god except for Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, and Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is the Greatest’, and even though this is from it, but the Mention of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> during what He<sup>azwj</sup> has Permitted and Prohibited. So if it was obedience, act upon it, and if it was disobedience, leave it’.
