مَكْتُوبٌ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ اشْكُرْ مَنْ أَنْعَمَ عَلَيْكَ وَ أَنْعِمْ عَلَى مَنْ شَكَرَكَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا زَوَالَ لِلنَّعْمَاءِ إِذَا شُكِرَتْ وَ لَا بَقَاءَ لَهَا إِذَا كُفِرَتْ الشُّكْرُ زِيَادَةٌ فِي النِّعَمِ وَ أَمَانٌ مِنَ الْغِيَرِ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad Al Baghdady, from Abdullah Bin Is’haq Al Ja’fary, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘It is written in the Torah: “Thank the one who favours upon you, and do favours upon the one who thanks you, for there would be no decline of the Bounties when it is thanked for, and there would not remain when it is denied. The gratefulness increases in the Bounties, and it is a safety from the changes’.
