قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) الْحَيَاءُ حَيَاءَانِ حَيَاءُ عَقْلٍ وَ حَيَاءُ حُمْقٍ فَحَيَاءُ الْعَقْلِ هُوَ الْعِلْمُ وَ حَيَاءُ الْحُمْقِ هُوَ الْجَهْلُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from one of our companions, raising it, ‘He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The <span class="iTxt">Hiyā</span> (bashfulness) is of two (types) – The <span class="iTxt">Hiyā</span> of the intellect and the <span class="iTxt">Hiyā</span> of foolishness. So the <span class="iTxt">Hiyā</span> of the intellect, it is the knowledge, and the <span class="iTxt">Hiyā</span> of the foolishness, it is the ignorance’.
