Al-Kafi 1884

Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ali Bin Yaqteen, from the one who reported it, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> having said: ‘Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Revealed unto Musa<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup>: “O Musa<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup>! Do you<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> know why I<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Chose you<sup style="font-weight: normal">saww</sup> with My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Speech besides My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> creatures?” He<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> said: ‘O Lord<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup>! And why was that so?’ He<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘So Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Blessed and High Revealed unto him<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup>: “O Musa<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup>! I<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Turned My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> servants back to front but I<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> did not find anyone among them more humble to Me<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> with his self than you<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup>, O Musa<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup>! You<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup>, when you<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> pray <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, you<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> place your<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> cheek upon the dust”, of he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: (He<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Said): “Upon the ground”’.
