مَثَلُ الدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ مَاءِ الْبَحْرِ كُلَّمَا شَرِبَ مِنْهُ الْعَطْشَانُ ازْدَادَ عَطَشاً حَتَّى يَقْتُلَهُ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Abdullah Bin Al Mugheira, and someone else, from Talha Bin Zayd, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘An example of the world is like an example of the water of the ocean. Every time it is drunk from, the thirst increases until it kills him (who drinks it)’.
