إِذَا هَمَمْتَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ فَلَا تُؤَخِّرْهُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ رُبَّمَا اطَّلَعَ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ وَ هُوَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِنَ الطَّاعَةِ فَيَقُولُ وَ عِزَّتِي وَ جَلَالِي لَا أُعَذِّبُكَ بَعْدَهَا أَبَداً وَ إِذَا هَمَمْتَ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَلَا تَعْمَلْهَا فَإِنَّهُ رُبَّمَا اطَّلَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْعَبْدِ وَ هُوَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِنَ الْمَعْصِيَةِ فَيَقُولُ وَ عِزَّتِي وَ جَلَالِي لَا أَغْفِرُ لَكَ بَعْدَهَا أَبَداً .
Translation
Ali, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hisham Bin Salim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> having said: ‘Whenever you intend for anything from the goodness, so do not delay it, for Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic would Notify upon the servant while he is upon something from the obedience, so He<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> is Saying: ‘By My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Honour and My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Majesty! I<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> will not Punish you after it, ever!” And when he intends for an evil, but he does not do it, so sometimes Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> would Notify upon the servant while he is upon something from the disobedience, so He<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> is Saying: “By My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Honour and My <sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Majesty! I<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> will not Forgive (your sins) for you after it, ever!”’.
