لَأَنْ أُطْعِمَ رَجُلًا مُسْلِماً أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أُعْتِقَ أُفُقاً مِنَ النَّاسِ قُلْتُ وَ كَمِ الْأُفُقُ فَقَالَ عَشَرَةُ آلَافٍ .
Translation
From him, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Muhammad Bin Muqarrin, from Ubeydullah Al Wassafy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘If I were to feed a Muslim man, it would be more beloved to me<sup>asws</sup> than if I<sup>asws</sup> were to free an ‘Afqa’ from the people’. I said, ‘And how may is the ‘Afqa’?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Ten thousand’.
