إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَيُتْحِفُ أَخَاهُ التُّحْفَةَ قُلْتُ وَ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ التُّحْفَةُ قَالَ مِنْ مَجْلِسٍ وَ مُتَّكَإٍ وَ طَعَامٍ وَ كِسْوَةٍ وَ سَلَامٍ فَتَطَاوَلُ الْجَنَّةُ مُكَافَأَةً لَهُ وَ يُوحِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِلَيْهَا أَنِّي قَدْ حَرَّمْتُ طَعَامَكِ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا عَلَى نَبِيٍّ أَوْ وَصِيِّ نَبِيٍّ فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ أَوْحَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِلَيْهَا أَنْ كَافِئِي أَوْلِيَائِي بِتُحَفِهِمْ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وُصَفَاءُ وَ وَصَائِفُ مَعَهُمْ أَطْبَاقٌ مُغَطَّاةٌ بِمَنَادِيلَ مِنْ لُؤْلُؤٍ فَإِذَا نَظَرُوا إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ وَ هَوْلِهَا وَ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَ مَا فِيهَا طَارَتْ عُقُولُهُمْ وَ امْتَنَعُوا أَنْ يَأْكُلُوا فَيُنَادِي مُنَادٍ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْعَرْشِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ قَدْ حَرَّمَ جَهَنَّمَ عَلَى مَنْ أَكَلَ مِنْ طَعَامِ جَنَّتِهِ فَيَمُدُّ الْقَوْمُ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَيَأْكُلُونَ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Salih Bin Uqba, from Al Mufazzal, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The <span class="iTxt">Momin</span>, let him present his brother with a gift’. I said, ‘And which thing is the gift?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘From (allocating) a seat, and a pillow, and food, and clothing, and a greeting. So the Paradise prolongs the Rewards for him, and Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Reveals unto it: “I<sup>azwj</sup> have Prohibited your food upon the people of the world except upon a Prophet<sup>saww</sup>, or a successor<sup>as</sup> of a Prophet<sup>as</sup>. So when it will be the Day of Judgement, Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic would Reveal unto it: “Reward My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> servants for their gifts!” So male and female attendants would be coming out from it having platters with them covered by towels of pearls. So when they look towards Hell and its horrors, and towards the Paradise and what is therein, their intellects would fly off and they would refuse to eat. So a Caller would Call out from beneath the Throne: ‘Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic has Prohibited Hell upon the one who eat from the good of His<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Paradise’. So the group of people would be extending their hands, and they would be eating’.
