Translation
From him, from Muhammad Bin Ali, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Isa Al Hureyri, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullahasws having said: ‘Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘The one who recognises Allahazwj and Hisazwj Magnificence would prevent his mouth from the speech, and his belly from the food, and excuses himself with the Fasting and the standing (for <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>)’. They said, ‘By our fathers and our mothers, O Rasool-Allahsaww! Are they the friends of Allahazwj?’ Hesaww said: ‘The friends of Allahazwj observed silence, so their silence was a Remembrance (of Allahazwj); and they looked around, so their looking around was a lesson; and they spoke, so their speaking was wisdom; and they walked, so their walking between the people was a Blessing. Had it not been for the term which had been Ordained upon them, their spirits would not have stayed in their bodies out of fear from the Punishment and desire to the Rewards’.
