محمد بن یحیی، احمد بن محمد بن عیسی سے، وہ حسن بن محبوب سے، وہ عبد الرحمن بن الحجاج سے، انہوں نے کہا: بلاء، اور وہ چیز جس کے ساتھ اللہ عزوجل مومن کو خاص فرماتا ہے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام کی مجلس میں ذکر کی گئی، تو انہوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم سے پوچھا گیا کہ دنیا میں سب سے زیادہ سخت آزمائش کس پر آتی ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: انبیاء، پھر ان کے سب سے زیادہ مشابہ، پھر ان کے سب سے زیادہ مشابہ۔ پھر مومن کو اس کے ایمان کی مقدار اور اس کے اعمال کی خوبی کے مطابق آزمائش میں ڈالا جاتا ہے۔ پس جس کا ایمان درست ہو اور اعمال اچھے ہوں، اس کی آزمائش زیادہ سخت ہوتی ہے؛ اور جس کا ایمان کمزور ہو اور اعمال ضعیف ہوں، اس کی آزمائش کم ہوتی ہے۔

Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Abdul Rahman Bin Al Hajjaj who said, ‘The afflictions were mentioned in the presence of Abu Abdullah^asws and what Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic has Particularised the <span class="iTxt">Momin</span> with. So he^asws said: ‘Rasool-Allah^saww was asked, ‘Who is the most severely afflicted of the people in the world?’ So he^saww said: ‘The Prophets^as, then the next most then thereafter those similar to the previous group and so forth’; and the <span class="iTxt">Momin</span> is afflicted in accordance to his <span class="iTxt">Emān</span> and the excellence of his deeds. So the one whose <span class="iTxt">Emān</span> is correct and his deeds are excellent, the more severe would be his afflictions, and the one whose <span class="iTxt">Emān</span> is light and his deeds are weak, would be with few afflictions’.
