شَكَوْتُ إِلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مَا أَلْقَى مِنَ الْأَوْجَاعِ وَ كَانَ مِسْقَاماً فَقَالَ لِي يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ فِي الْمَصَائِبِ لَتَمَنَّى أَنَّهُ قُرِّضَ بِالْمَقَارِيضِ .

ہمارے چند اصحاب نے، احمد بن محمد بن خالد سے، ان کے والد سے، ابراہیم بن محمد اشعری سے، ابو یحییٰ الحنّاط سے، عبداللہ بن ابی یعفور سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے اپنے دردوں اور بار بار بیمار رہنے کی شکایت کی، تو انہوں نے مجھ سے فرمایا: “اے عبداللہ، اگر مومن کو معلوم ہو جائے کہ مصیبتوں میں اس کے لیے کتنا اجر ہے، تو وہ تمنا کرے گا کہ اسے قینچیوں سے کاٹ دیا گیا ہوتا۔”
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from his father, from Ibrahim Bin Muhammad Al Ashary, from Abu Yahya Al Hannat, from Abdullah Bin Abu Yafour who said, ‘I complained to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> of what I face from the pains, and I was sick. So he<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘O Abdullah! If the <span class="iTxt">Momin</span> was to know what is for him from the Recompense in the difficulties, he would desire to be cut (into pieces) with the scissors’.
