ہمارے بعض اصحاب نے، احمد بن ابی عبد اللہ سے، وہ نوح بن شعیب سے، وہ ابو داؤد المسترق سے، اسے مرفوعاً نقل کرتے ہوئے کہا: ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ کو کھانے کی دعوت دی گئی۔ جب وہ اس شخص کے گھر میں داخل ہوئے تو انہوں نے دیوار پر بیٹھی ایک مرغی دیکھی جس نے انڈا دیا تھا، پھر وہ انڈا دیوار میں لگے ایک کھونٹے پر آ گرا اور اسی پر ٹھہر گیا؛ نہ گرا اور نہ ٹوٹا۔ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ اس پر متعجب ہوئے۔ اس شخص نے ان سے کہا: کیا آپ اس انڈے پر تعجب کرتے ہیں؟ اس ذات کی قسم جس نے آپ کو حق کے ساتھ بھیجا، مجھے کبھی کسی چیز میں کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ اٹھ کھڑے ہوئے اور اپنے کھانے میں سے کچھ نہ کھایا، اور فرمایا: “جسے کبھی نقصان نہ پہنچا ہو، اللہ کو اس کی کوئی حاجت نہیں۔”

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad bin Abu Abdullah, from Nuh Bin Shuayb, from Abu Dawood Al Mustariq, raising it, said, ‘Abu Abdullah^asws said: ‘The Prophet^saww was invited to a meal. So when he^saww entered the house of the man, he^saww looked at a chicken on top of a wall which had laid an egg. So the egg fell upon a crack in the wall, and it was affirmed upon it and did not fall (any further) and did not break. So the Prophet<sup style="font-weight: normal">saww</sup> was astounded from it. So the man said to him<sup style="font-weight: normal">saww</sup>, ‘Are you<sup style="font-weight: normal">saww</sup> astounded from this egg? By the One<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Who Sent you<sup style="font-weight: normal">saww</sup> with the Truth, I have never had a loss with anything at all’. So Rasool-Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">saww</sup> arose and did not eat anything from his meal, and said: ‘The one who does not encounter losses/afflictions, so Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> does not Wish to do anything with him’.
