سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ بَعَثَ نَبِيّاً مِنْ أَنْبِيَائِهِ إِلَى قَوْمِهِ وَ أَوْحَى إِلَيْهِ أَنْ قُلْ لِقَوْمِكَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِ قَرْيَةٍ وَ لَا أُنَاسٍ كَانُوا عَلَى طَاعَتِي فَأَصَابَهُمْ فِيهَا سَرَّاءُ فَتَحَوَّلُوا عَمَّا أُحِبُّ إِلَى مَا أَكْرَهُ إِلَّا تَحَوَّلْتُ لَهُمْ عَمَّا يُحِبُّونَ إِلَى مَا يَكْرَهُونَ وَ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَهْلِ قَرْيَةٍ وَ لَا أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ كَانُوا عَلَى مَعْصِيَتِي فَأَصَابَهُمْ فِيهَا ضَرَّاءُ فَتَحَوَّلُوا عَمَّا أَكْرَهُ إِلَى مَا أُحِبُّ إِلَّا تَحَوَّلْتُ لَهُمْ عَمَّا يَكْرَهُونَ إِلَى مَا يُحِبُّونَ وَ قُلْ لَهُمْ إِنَّ رَحْمَتِي سَبَقَتْ غَضَبِي فَلَا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَتِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَتَعَاظَمُ عِنْدِي ذَنْبٌ أَغْفِرُهُ وَ قُلْ لَهُمْ لَا يَتَعَرَّضُوا مُعَانِدِينَ لِسَخَطِي وَ لَا يَسْتَخِفُّوا بِأَوْلِيَائِي فَإِنَّ لِي سَطَوَاتٍ عِنْدَ غَضَبِي لَا يَقُومُ لَهَا شَيْءٌ مِنْ خَلْقِي .

محمد بن یحیی، احمد بن محمد اور علی بن ابراہیم سے، وہ اپنے والد سے، سب کے سب ابن محبوب سے، وہ الہیثم بن واقِد الجزری سے، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابا عبد اللہ علیہ السلام کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: اللہ عز و جل نے اپنے انبیاء میں سے ایک نبی کو اس کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا اور اس کی طرف وحی کی: “اپنی قوم سے کہہ دو:” کسی بستی والوں یا کسی قوم میں سے کوئی ایسا نہیں جو میری اطاعت پر ہو اور پھر اس میں اسے آسائش ملے، پھر وہ اس چیز سے پھر جائے جسے میں پسند کرتا ہوں اس چیز کی طرف جسے میں ناپسند کرتا ہوں، مگر یہ کہ میں بھی ان کے لیے اس چیز کو بدل دیتا ہوں جسے وہ پسند کرتے ہیں اس چیز کی طرف جسے وہ ناپسند کرتے ہیں۔ اور کسی بستی کے رہنے والوں یا کسی گھرانے والوں میں سے کوئی ایسا نہیں جو میری نافرمانی پر ہوں اور پھر اس میں انہیں سختی پہنچے، پھر وہ اس چیز سے پھر جائیں جسے میں ناپسند کرتا ہوں اس چیز کی طرف جسے میں پسند کرتا ہوں، مگر یہ کہ میں بھی ان کے لیے اس چیز کو بدل دیتا ہوں جسے وہ ناپسند کرتے ہیں اس چیز کی طرف جسے وہ پسند کرتے ہیں۔ اور ان سے کہو: ‘میری رحمت میرے غضب پر سبقت لے چکی ہے، پس میری رحمت سے ناامید نہ ہو، کیونکہ میرے نزدیک کوئی گناہ اتنا بڑا نہیں کہ میں اسے معاف نہ کر سکوں۔’ اور ان سے کہو: ‘انہیں ضد کرتے ہوئے میرے غضب کو دعوت نہیں دینی چاہیے، اور نہ ہی میرے اولیاء کو حقیر سمجھنا چاہیے، کیونکہ میرے غضب کے وقت میرے پاس ایسی سخت پکڑیں ہیں کہ میری مخلوق میں سے کوئی چیز ان کا مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتی۔’
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad and Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, altogether from Ibn Mahboub, from Al haysam Bin Waqad Al Jazry who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> saying: ‘Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Sent a Prophet<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> from His<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Prophets<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> to his<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> people and Revealed unto him<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup>: “Say to your<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> people: ‘There are none from the inhabitants of a town nor a people who used to be upon My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> obedience and they attained happiness therein, so they changed over from what I<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Love to what I<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Dislike, except that I<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Changed over for them from what they were loving to what they were dislking. And there are none from a people of a town nor a family who used to be upon My<sup>azwj</sup> disobedience, so they were hit by harm therein, So they changed over from what I<sup>azwj</sup> Dislike to what I<sup>azwj</sup> Love, except that I<sup>azwj</sup> Changed for them from what they were disliking to what they were loving’. And say to them: ‘My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Precedes My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Anger, therefore do not despair from My Mercy, so there is no sins greater in My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Presence which I<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Forgive’. And say to them: ‘They should not expose themselves stubbornly to My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Anger, nor belittle My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Guardians<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, for Me<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> there are such Assaults during My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Anger that nothing from My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> creation can withstand it”.
