ان سے، ابن محبوب سے، جنہوں نے کہا: ہمارے ایک ساتھی نے میرے ساتھ مل کر ابی الحسن (عليه السلام) کو لکھا، اور ان سے کبیرہ گناہوں کے بارے میں پوچھا کہ وہ کتنے ہیں اور کیا ہیں۔ تو انہوں نے (عليه السلام) لکھا: کبیرہ گناہ وہ ہیں جن کے بارے میں اللہ نے آگ کا وعدہ کیا ہے؛ جو ان سے بچا رہے، اللہ اس کے گناہوں کو اس سے دور کر دیتا ہے جب وہ مومن ہو۔ اور سات ہلاک کرنے والے یہ ہیں: حرام جان کو قتل کرنا، والدین کی نافرمانی، سود کھانا، ہجرت کے بعد بدوی طرزِ زندگی کی طرف لوٹ جانا، پاک دامن عورتوں پر تہمت لگانا، یتیم کا مال کھانا، اور جنگ کے محاذ سے بھاگ جانا۔

Translation

From him, from Ibn Mahboub who said, ‘One of our companions wrote along with me, to Abu Al-Hassan^asws, asking him^asws about the major sins, how many they are and what they are. So he^asws wrote: ‘The major sins one should avoid are what Allah^azwj has Promised the Fire upon to expiate his sins from him, when he was a <span class="iTxt">Momin</span>; and the seven Obligating (such) are – killing a self unlawfully, and disloyalty to the parents, and consuming the usury, and the adoption of Pre-Islamic practices after the emigration, and slandering the married woman, and consuming the wealth of the orphans, and fleeing from the battle march’.
