قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) تَكَلَّمُوا فِي خَلْقِ اللَّهِ وَ لَا تَتَكَلَّمُوا فِي اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ الْكَلَامَ فِي اللَّهِ لَا يَزْدَادُ صَاحِبَهُ إِلَّا تَحَيُّراً . وَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ تَكَلَّمُوا فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَ لَا تَتَكَلَّمُوا فِي ذَاتِ اللَّهِ .

محمد بن الحسن، سہل بن زیاد سے، الحسن بن محبوب سے، علی بن رئاب سے، ابو بصیر سے، انہوں نے کہا: ابو جعفر علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: اللہ کی مخلوق کے بارے میں بات کرو، لیکن اللہ کے بارے میں بات نہ کرو، کیونکہ اللہ کے بارے میں کلام کرنا اس کے کرنے والے میں حیرت کے سوا کچھ نہیں بڑھاتا۔ اور حریز سے ایک اور روایت میں ہے: ہر چیز کے بارے میں بات کرو، لیکن اللہ کی ذات کے بارے میں بات نہ کرو۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Al Hassan, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Al Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Ali Bin Raib, from Abu Baseer who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘You can speak regarding the creation of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, but do not speak regarding Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, for the speech regarding Allah<sup>azwj</sup> does not increase its owner except with the confusion’. And in another report, from Hareyz, ‘(He<sup>asws</sup> said): ‘You can speak regarding everythings, but do not be speaking regarding ‘ذَاتِ اللَّهِ’ the Essence (Self) of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’.
