قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَوْحَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِلَى بَعْضِ أَنْبِيَائِهِ الْخُلُقُ السَّيِّئُ يُفْسِدُ الْعَمَلَ كَمَا يُفْسِدُ الْخَلُّ الْعَسَلَ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Hameed, from Yahya Bin Amro, from Abdullah Bin Sinan who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Revealed unto one of His<sup>azwj</sup> Prophets<sup>as</sup>: “The evil mannerism spoils the deed just as the vinegar spoils the honey”’.
