لَا تَصْحَبُوا أَهْلَ الْبِدَعِ وَ لَا تُجَالِسُوهُمْ فَتَصِيرُوا عِنْدَ النَّاسِ كَوَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) الْمَرْءُ عَلَى دِينِ خَلِيلِهِ وَ قَرِينِهِ .
Translation
Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Abdul Rahman Bin Abu Najran, from Umar Bin Yazeed, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Do not accompany the people of innovation and do not be seated with them for you would come to be in the presence of the people like one of them. Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The person is upon the Religion of his friends and his associates’.
