John Shaqi

مَنْ قَعَدَ فِي مَجْلِسٍ يُسَبُّ فِيهِ إِمَامٌ مِنَ الْأَئِمَّةِ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى الِانْتِصَابِ فَلَمْ يَفْعَلْ أَلْبَسَهُ اللَّهُ الذُّلَّ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ عَذَّبَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَ سَلَبَهُ صَالِحَ مَا مَنَّ بِهِ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ مَعْرِفَتِنَا .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from his father, from Al Qasim Bin Urwa, from Ubeyd Bin Zurara, from his father, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The one who sits in a gathering wherein an Imam<sup>asws</sup> from the Imams<sup>asws</sup> is insulted despite being able upon the walking away, but he does not do so, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> would Clothe him in disgrace in the world and Punish him in the Hereafter, and Confiscate what he had been Favoured with upon him, from our<sup>asws</sup> recognition’.
