John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَهْلُ الشَّامِ شَرٌّ أَمْ أَهْلُ الرُّومِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الرُّومَ كَفَرُوا وَ لَمْ يُعَادُونَا وَ إِنَّ أَهْلَ الشَّامِ كَفَرُوا وَ عَادَوْنَا .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Fazalat Bin Ayoub, from Sayf Bin Ameyra, from Abu Bakr Al Hazramy who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The people of Syria are more evil than the people of Rome?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The Romans disbelieved and they were not inimical to us<sup>asws</sup>, but the people of Syria disbelieved and were inimical to us<sup>asws</sup>’.
