إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَيَهُمُّ بِالْحَسَنَةِ وَ لَا يَعْمَلُ بِهَا فَتُكْتَبُ لَهُ حَسَنَةٌ وَ إِنْ هُوَ عَمِلَهَا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ وَ إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَيَهُمُّ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ أَنْ يَعْمَلَهَا فَلَا يَعْمَلُهَا فَلَا تُكْتَبُ عَلَيْهِ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from usman Bin isa, from Sama’at Bin Mihran, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The <span class="iTxt">Momin</span> intends the good deed and does not do it, so one good deed is Written for him; and if he were to do it, ten good deeds would be Written for him; but if the <span class="iTxt">Momin</span> intends the evil deed that he would be doing it, but he does not do it, so it would not be Written against him’.
