قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) الدُّعَاءُ تُرْسُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَ مَتَى تُكْثِرْ قَرْعَ الْبَابِ يُفْتَحْ لَكَ .

ہمارے بہت سے اصحاب نے سہل بن زیاد سے، انہوں نے جعفر بن محمد الاشعری سے، انہوں نے ابن القداح سے، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: امیر المومنین علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'دعا مومن کی ڈھال ہے، اور جب تم دروازہ بار بار کھٹکھٹاتے ہو تو وہ تمہارے لیے کھول دیا جاتا ہے۔'
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad Al Ashary, from Ibn Al Qaddah, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The supplication is a shield of the <span class="iTxt">Momin</span>, and when the door is knocked upon frequently, it would be opened for you’.
