John Shaqi

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ فَقَدْ أَدَّى شُكْرَ يَوْمِهِ وَ مَنْ قَالَهَا إِذَا أَمْسَى فَقَدْ أَدَّى شُكْرَ لَيْلَتِهِ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Mansour Bin Al Abbas, from Saeed Bin Janah who said, ‘Abu Masoud narrated to me, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The one who says four times when it is the morning, الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ’ ‘The Praise is for Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Lord<sup>azwj</sup> of the worlds’, so he has paid the thanks for his day, and the one who says it when it is the evening, so he has paid his thanks for his night’.
