قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) إِذَا أَرَدْتَ السَّفَرَ فَقِفْ عَلَى بَابِ دَارِكَ وَ اقْرَأْ فَاتِحَةَ الْكِتَابِ أَمَامَكَ وَ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ وَ عَنْ شِمَالِكَ وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ أَمَامَكَ وَ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ وَ عَنْ شِمَالِكَ وَ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ وَ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ أَمَامَكَ وَ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ وَ عَنْ شِمَالِكَ ثُمَّ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي وَ احْفَظْ مَا مَعِي وَ سَلِّمْنِي وَ سَلِّمْ مَا مَعِي وَ بَلِّغْنِي وَ بَلِّغْ مَا مَعِي بَلَاغاً حَسَناً ثُمَّ قَالَ أَ مَا رَأَيْتَ الرَّجُلَ يُحْفَظُ وَ لَا يُحْفَظُ مَا مَعَهُ وَ يَسْلَمُ وَ لَا يَسْلَمُ مَا مَعَهُ وَ يَبْلُغُ وَ لَا يَبْلُغُ مَا مَعَهُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Musa Bin Al Qasim, from Sabbah Al Haza’a who said, ‘Abu Abul Hassan<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Whenever you intend the journey, so pause at the door of your house and recite the Opening of the Book (Chapter 1) in front of you, and on your right, and on your left, and <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:112#h1"><a href="/books/quran:112#h1">[112:1]</a></a> Say He Allah is One</span> (Chapter 112) in front of you, and on your right and on your left, and <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:114#h1"><a href="/books/quran:114#h1">[114:1]</a></a> Say I seek Refuge in the Lord of the people </span>(Chapter 114) and <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:113#h1"><a href="/books/quran:113#h1">[113:1]</a></a> Say I seek Refuge in the Lord of Al Falaq</span> in front of you, and on your right and on your left, then say, ‘O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! Protect me and Protect what is with me, and Keep me safe and Kee safe whatever is with me, and Deliver me and Deliver what is with me (to my destination) with an excellent Delivery’. Then he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘But, have you not seen the man who is protected and what is with his is not protected, and he is safe and what is with him is not safe, and he reaches (his destination) and what is with him does not reach?’.
