قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) نَوِّرُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ بِتِلَاوَةِ الْقُرْآنِ وَ لَا تَتَّخِذُوهَا قُبُوراً كَمَا فَعَلَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَ النَّصَارَى صَلَّوْا فِي الْكَنَائِسِ وَ الْبِيَعِ وَ عَطَّلُوا بُيُوتَهُمْ فَإِنَّ الْبَيْتَ إِذَا كَثُرَ فِيهِ تِلَاوَةُ الْقُرْآنِ كَثُرَ خَيْرُهُ وَ اتَّسَعَ أَهْلُهُ وَ أَضَاءَ لِأَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ كَمَا تُضِيءُ نُجُومُ السَّمَاءِ لِأَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا .

ہمارے کچھ اصحاب نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے علی بن الحکم سے، انہوں نے فضیل بن عثمان سے، انہوں نے لیث بن ابی سلیم سے روایت کی اور اسے مرفوع کیا، کہا: نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے فرمایا: اپنے گھروں کو قرآن کی تلاوت سے روشن کرو، اور انہیں قبریں مت بناؤ جیسا کہ یہود اور نصاریٰ نے کیا — وہ اپنی کنیسوں اور عبادت گاہوں میں نماز پڑھتے تھے اور اپنے گھروں کو ویران چھوڑ دیتے تھے۔ بے شک جس گھر میں قرآن کی تلاوت کثرت سے ہو، اس کی خیر و برکت بڑھ جاتی ہے، اس کے مکین خوشحال ہو جاتے ہیں اور وہ اہل آسمان کے لیے اس طرح روشن ہوتا ہے جیسے آسمان کے ستارے اہل دنیا کے لیے روشن ہوتے ہیں۔
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Al Fuzayl Bin Usman, from Lays Bin Abu Suleym, raising it, ‘He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The Prophet<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘Illuminate your houses by the recitation of the Quran and do not be taking it as graves just as the Jews and the Christians did. They pray in their churches and the synagogues, and they left their houses as inactive, for the house, when the recitation of the Quran is frequented in it, would be of abundant goodness, and (sustenance of) its inhabitants would be Expanded, and it would shine for the inhabitants of the sky just as the stars shine for the inhabitants of the earth’.
