مَنْ قَرَأَ آيَةً مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فِي صَلَاتِهِ قَائِماً يُكْتَبُ لَهُ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ مِائَةُ حَسَنَةٍ فَإِذَا قَرَأَهَا فِي غَيْرِ صَلَاةٍ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ وَ إِنِ اسْتَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِكُلِّ حَرْفٍ حَسَنَةً وَ إِنْ خَتَمَ الْقُرْآنَ لَيْلًا صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ وَ إِنْ خَتَمَهُ نَهَاراً صَلَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الْحَفَظَةُ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَ كَانَتْ لَهُ دَعْوَةٌ مُجَابَةٌ وَ كَانَ خَيْراً لَهُ مِمَّا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ قُلْتُ هَذَا لِمَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ قَالَ يَا أَخَا بَنِي أَسَدٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَوَادٌ مَاجِدٌ كَرِيمٌ إِذَا قَرَأَ مَا مَعَهُ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ .

محمد بن یحییٰ نے احمد بن محمد بن عیسیٰ سے، انہوں نے علی بن الحکم یا کسی اور سے، انہوں نے سیف بن عمیرہ سے، انہوں نے ایک شخص سے، انہوں نے جابر سے، انہوں نے مسافر سے، انہوں نے بشر بن غالب الاسدی سے، انہوں نے حسین بن علی علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: جو کوئی نماز میں کھڑے ہوکر اللہ کی کتاب سے ایک آیت پڑھے تو ہر حرف کے بدلے اس کے لیے سو نیکیاں لکھی جائیں گی۔ جب وہ نماز کے علاوہ پڑھے تو اللہ ہر حرف کے بدلے دس نیکیاں لکھتا ہے۔ اگر قرآن سنے تو اللہ ہر حرف کے بدلے ایک نیکی لکھتا ہے۔ اگر رات کو قرآن ختم کرے تو فرشتے صبح تک اس پر درود بھیجتے ہیں، اور اگر دن میں ختم کرے تو حافظ فرشتے شام تک اس پر درود بھیجتے ہیں، اور اس کی ایک دعا قبول ہوگی، اور یہ اس کے لیے آسمان و زمین کے درمیان جو کچھ ہے اس سے بہتر ہے۔ میں نے کہا: یہ اس کے لیے ہے جو قرآن پڑھتا ہو، تو جو نہ پڑھ سکے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اے بنی اسد کے بھائی! بے شک اللہ جواد، ماجد اور کریم ہے — جب وہ جتنا قرآن اسے یاد ہو پڑھ لے تو اللہ اسے وہی (ثواب) عطا فرماتا ہے۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, or someone else, from Sayf Bin Ameyra, from a man, from Jabir, from Musafir, from Bishr Bin Ghalib Al Asady, (It has been narrated) from Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup> Bin Ali<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The one who recites a Verse from the Book of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic during his <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, standing, there would be Written for him, for every letter, one hundred good deeds. So when he recites it during other than his <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> would Write for him, with every letter, ten good deeds; and that the intent listener of the Quran, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> would Write for him, with every letter, one good deed; and that the completer of the Quran at night, the Angels would arrive upon him until the morning; and that the one who completes it at daytime, the recorders (Angels) would arrive upon him until evening; and there would be an Answered supplication for him, and it would be better for him than what is between the sky to the earth’. I said, ‘This is for the one who recites the Quran. So (what about) the one who does not recite?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘O brother of the Clan of Asad! Allah<sup>azwj</sup> is Generous, Glorious, Benevolent. When he reads whatever is with him (from the Holy Quran), Allah<sup>azwj</sup> would Give him that’.
