سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْوَرَعِ وَ الِاجْتِهَادِ وَ اشْهَدُوا الْجَنَائِزَ وَ عُودُوا الْمَرْضَى وَ احْضُرُوا مَعَ قَوْمِكُمْ مَسَاجِدَكُمْ وَ أَحِبُّوا لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّونَ لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ أَ مَا يَسْتَحْيِي الرَّجُلُ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَعْرِفَ جَارُهُ حَقَّهُ وَ لَا يَعْرِفَ حَقَّ جَارِهِ .

محمد بن یحییٰ نے، احمد بن محمد سے، وہ حسین بن سعید اور محمد بن خالد سے، یہ دونوں مل کر قاسم بن محمد سے، وہ حبیب الخثعمی سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام کو فرماتے سنا: تم پر لازم ہے کہ ورع اور اجتہاد اختیار کرو، جنازوں میں شرکت کرو، بیماروں کی عیادت کرو، اپنی قوم کے ساتھ اپنی مساجد میں حاضر ہو، اور لوگوں کے لیے وہی پسند کرو جو اپنے لیے پسند کرتے ہو۔ کیا تم میں سے کوئی مرد اس بات پر شرم نہیں کرتا کہ اس کا ہمسایہ اس کا حق پہچانے جبکہ وہ خود اپنے ہمسایے کا حق نہ پہچانے؟
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, and Muhammad Bin Khalid, altogether from Al Qasim Bin Muhammad, from Habeeb Al Khash’amy who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘(It is) upon you with the piety, and the striving, and attending the funerals, and consoling the sick, and to be present along with your people in the Masjids, and loving for the people what you are loving for yourselves. Would not the man from you be embarrassed if his neighbour were to recognise his right while he does not recognise the right of his neighbour?’
