إِيَّاكُمْ وَ الْمِزَاحَ فَإِنَّهُ يَذْهَبُ بِمَاءِ الْوَجْهِ وَ مَهَابَةِ الرِّجَالِ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Usman Bin Isa, from Ibn Muskan, from Muhammad Bin Marwan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Beware of the joking, for it does away with the water (dignity) of the face, and the sublimity of the men’.
