سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ مَا تَنَبَّأَ نَبِيٌّ قَطُّ حَتَّى يُقِرَّ لِلَّهِ بِخَمْسِ خِصَالٍ بِالْبَدَاءِ وَ الْمَشِيئَةِ وَ السُّجُودِ وَ الْعُبُودِيَّةِ وَ الطَّاعَةِ .

میں نے ابو عبداللہ (علیہ السلام) کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: 'کسی بھی نبی کو ہرگز نبوت نہیں دی گئی جب تک کہ اس نے اللہ کے سامنے پانچ خصلتوں کا اقرار نہ کیا: بداء کا، مشیئت کا، سجود کا، عبودیت کا اور اطاعت کا۔'
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from one of our companions, from Muhammad Bin Amro Al Kufy, a brother of Yahya, from Murazim Bin Hakeym who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘No Prophet<sup>saww</sup> was Granted Prophet-hood at all until he<sup>as</sup> acknowled to Allah<sup>azwj</sup> with five characteristics – The Changing of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’s Decision (الْبَدَاءِ), and the Desire, and the Prostrations, and the servitude, and the obedience’.
