محمد بن اسماعیل نے فضل بن شاذان سے، انہوں نے صفوان بن یحیی سے، انہوں نے عیص بن قاسم سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے پوچھا: کیا مرد اور عورت ایک ہی برتن سے غسل کر سکتے ہیں؟ تو آپ نے فرمایا: ہاں، وہ دونوں برتن میں ہاتھ ڈالنے سے پہلے ہاتھوں پر پانی بہائیں۔ راوی نے کہا: اور میں نے آپ سے حائضہ عورت کی جھوٹن کے بارے میں پوچھا تو آپ نے فرمایا: اس سے وضو نہ کرو؛ البتہ جنب عورت کی جھوٹن سے وضو کر سکتے ہو جب وہ قابل اعتماد ہو، پھر وہ برتن میں ہاتھ ڈالنے سے پہلے اپنے ہاتھ دھوئے۔ اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عائشہ کے ساتھ ایک ہی برتن سے غسل کرتے تھے اور دونوں اکٹھے غسل کرتے تھے۔

Translation

Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Al Ayz Bin Al Qasim who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah^asws, ‘Can the man and the woman wash from one vessel?’ So he^asws said: ‘Yes, they should both empty some of it upon their hands before placing their hands in the vessel’. He (the narrator) said, ‘And I asked him^asws about the residue of the menstruating woman, so he^asws said: ‘Do not perform Ablution <span class="iTxt">(Wudhu)</span> from it, but you can perform Ablution <span class="iTxt">(Wudhu)</span> from (the residue of) the sexually impure woman when she is trustworthy, then she should wash her hands before she enters them into the vessel; and it was so that Rasool-Allah^saww used to bathe, him^saww and Ayesha from one vessel, and they would both be bathing together (from one vessel)’.
