John Shaqi

قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) أَيْنَ يَتَوَضَّأُ الْغُرَبَاءُ قَالَ يَتَّقِي شُطُوطَ الْأَنْهَارِ وَ الطُّرُقَ النَّافِذَةَ وَ تَحْتَ الْأَشْجَارِ الْمُثْمِرَةِ وَ مَوَاضِعَ اللَّعْنِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ وَ أَيْنَ مَوَاضِعُ اللَّعْنِ قَالَ أَبْوَابُ الدُّورِ .


Translation

Ahmad Bin Idrees, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Aasim Bin Humeyd, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘A man said to Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup>, ‘Where should the strangers perform Ablution <span class="iTxt">(Wudhu)</span>?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘They should abstain from the banks of the rivers, and the clean streets, and under the fruit-bearing trees, and the places subject to condemnation’. So it was said, ‘And where are the places subject to the condemnation?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The doors of the houses’.
