كَتَبْتُ إِلَى الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) أَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ حَدِّ الْوَجْهِ فَكَتَبَ مِنْ أَوَّلِ الشَّعْرِ إِلَى آخِرِ الْوَجْهِ وَ كَذَلِكَ الْجَبِينَيْنِ .
Translation
Ali Bin Muhammad, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ismail Bin Mihran who said, ‘I wrote to Al-Reza<sup>asws</sup> asking him<sup>asws</sup> about the extent of the face (to be washed for the Ablution <span class="iTxt">(Wudhu)</span>). So he<sup>asws</sup> wrote: ‘From the beginning of the hair up to the end of the face, and like that are the two brows’.
