سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ الْأَوَّلَ ( عليه السلام ) كَيْفَ صَارَ غُسْلُ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَاجِباً فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى أَتَمَّ صَلَاةَ الْفَرِيضَةِ بِصَلَاةِ النَّافِلَةِ وَ أَتَمَّ صِيَامَ الْفَرِيضَةِ بِصِيَامِ النَّافِلَةِ وَ أَتَمَّ وُضُوءَ الْفَرِيضَةِ بِغُسْلِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ مَا كَانَ فِي ذَلِكَ مِنْ سَهْوٍ أَوْ تَقْصِيرٍ أَوْ نِسْيَانٍ أَوْ نُقْصَانٍ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Sayf, from his father Sayf Bin Ameyra, from Al Husayn Bin Khalid who said, ‘I asked Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> the first, ‘How did the washing for the day of Friday come to be an Obligation?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Blessed and High Completed the Obligatory <span class="iTxt">Salaat</span>s with the optional <span class="iTxt">Salaat</span>s, and Completed the Obligatory Fasts with the optional Fasts, and Completed the Obligatory Ablution <span class="iTxt">(Wudhu)</span> with the washing of the day of Friday, whatever was during that from the mistake, or shortening, or forgetfulness, or deficiency’.
