John Shaqi

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَمَّا تَصْنَعُ النِّسَاءُ فِي الشَّعْرِ وَ الْقُرُونِ فَقَالَ لَمْ تَكُنْ هَذِهِ الْمِشْطَةُ إِنَّمَا كُنَّ يَجْمَعْنَهُ ثُمَّ وَصَفَ أَرْبَعَةَ أَمْكِنَةٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ يُبَالِغْنَ فِي الْغَسْلِ .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Jameel who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about what the woman should do regarding the hair and the plaits (curls). So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘She did not happened to have combed these. But rather she happened to have gathered it’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> described four possibilities, then said: ‘They should put more effort in the washing’.
