سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ دَمِ الْبَرَاغِيثِ يَكُونُ فِي الثَّوْبِ هَلْ يَمْنَعُهُ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ فِيهِ قَالَ لَا وَ إِنْ كَثُرَ فَلَا بَأْسَ أَيْضاً بِشِبْهِهِ مِنَ الرُّعَافِ يَنْضَحُهُ وَ لَا يَغْسِلُهُ . وَ رُوِيَ أَيْضاً أَنَّهُ لَا يُغْسَلُ بِالرِّيقِ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا الدَّمُ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Sinan, from Ibn Muskan, from Al Halby who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the blood of fleas which happens to be in the clothes, ‘Would that prevent him from praying <span class="iTxt">Salaat</span> in them?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No, and even if there were many. So, there is no problem as well with its like from the nose-bleed. One would sprinkle it (with water) and would not wash it’. And it is reported that nothing would be washed from the saliva except for the blood.
